How do you price your sessions?
I charge a session fee that covers my time planning and preparing for the session as well as my time during the session and final editing of the session. I then offer A La Carte options or Complete Collections that include print credits, an album, and Digital options. You can see my complete pricing lineup here.
Can you help me choose products to order?
Heck ya, I would love to! During your session, I invite you to look around at the products we have displayed. Feel free to touch them and get a general idea of what you love! I truly enjoy helpingyou design a wall gallery or how you will display your images. I have an amazing program that will show just how images will look alone or in a gallery on your own wall. If you desire this let me know prior to your ordering session.
Why do you not offer digital only options?
To be completely honest, at one point I did. I thought that is what everyone wanted. BUT, it made me sad. Multiple times I would have clients tell me they never printed them, or would call me that they lost the images and needed a new copy. I want you to cherish these photos for years to come. I want them to be passed down through generations. On top of that, research shows that when children see their photos around the house they are happier and have higher self esteem. One of my greatest joys as a child was to look at my grandmothers photo albums. Literally, every time I was at her home which was often. I can ensure that you are getting the best quality prints and products. When I hand you a disc or flash drive they can get lost or printed in places that I cannot guarantee the color, exposure, or general quality. You are paying good money for beautiful photos of your child and family. Why not make sure you have something that will last you for years to come that is beautiful and you can truly cherish. I love when my clients tell me how they smile every time they walk past that portrait on the wall!
Which lab(s) do you use to order your photography products?
I only use professional labs and companies whose products are produced for professional photographers to ensure your photos will be printed with the same care and quality by which I created them.
Why are your prices higher/lower than other photographers in the area?
We all have different talent levels, equipment, overhead costs and experience and offer varying levels of quality in our work. We also take on different numbers of clients based on our business' needs and capacities.
I work with only a few clients a week in order to give each person the best experience possible. For each session, I devote hours to planning, preparation, shooting, editing and presentation.
My goal is to make your heart sing, to bring tears to your eyes. This is my goal, my desire. I want your family, your children, your friends to feel emotion when they see your images.
